What awaits You
Step into a beautiful, held space where ancient wisdom meets creative joy. Over the course of four hours, you’ll journey through the seven chakras — the energy centres that govern everything from how grounded we feel to how freely we love and express ourselves — guided by the symbolism of flowers, the power of meditation, and the transformative magic of making art.
You’ll leave with a painting that’s uniquely yours, a message from your angels, and a sense of peace that lingers long after you walk out the door.
Your guides for the day
Tracie Long is a trauma-informed healing coach, psychic medium, and quantum healer whose work has helped people transform deep wounds – from childhood trauma and grief to anxiety, toxic relationships, and chronic illness – into genuine freedom and joy. Her approach is warm, solution-focused, and grounded in the belief that healing doesn’t have to mean endlessly revisiting pain; it means taking aligned, courageous steps forward. Tracie is the author of four published books on Spiritualism, Shamanism, Wicca, and Celtic Mysticism, and her angel paintings – created through channelled connection with the angelic realms -have been described by those who receive them as feeling alive with comfort and guidance.
Mariya McAllister is a professional artist and art tutor, whose luminous florals in acrylics – has been exhibited at prestigious exhibitions including the ING Discerning Eye, the RBA Annual Exhibition, and the 61st Essex Open. A finalist in the SAA Artists of the Year competition in both 2024 and 2025, Mariya brings to her teaching the same qualities she brings to her painting: a deep love of beauty, extraordinary technical skill, and a genuine belief in art’s power to unlock creativity, self-expression, and inner peace in everyone.
Together, Tracie and Mariya created Coven & Canvas – a space where spiritual exploration and artistic creativity meet, held with warmth, professionalism, and a lot of heart.

The Chakras and their Blossoms
The chakras are the body’s invisible energy system, each one a spinning wheel of life force that influences our physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing. When they’re open and balanced, we feel vital, creative, loving, and clear. When they’re blocked or depleted — by stress, grief, old wounds, or simply the relentless pace of modern life — we feel stuck, anxious, disconnected, or numb.
Flowers have long been used as sacred symbols across cultures to represent these energy centres. Their colours, shapes, and essences mirror the qualities of each chakra in a way that speaks directly to the soul:
🌹 Root Chakra — Red Rose | Safety, grounding, belonging
🧡 Sacral Chakra — Orange Lily | Creativity, pleasure, flow
🌻 Solar Plexus Chakra — Sunflower | Confidence, power, radiance
🌸 Heart Chakra — Pink Rose | Love, compassion, forgiveness
💙 Throat Chakra — Bluebell | Truth, voice, authentic expression
💜 Third Eye Chakra — Lavender | Intuition, clarity, inner knowing
🤍 Crown Chakra — White Lotus | Divine connection, peace, transcendence
Guided meditation Root to Crown
Before we pick up a paintbrush, we go inward.
Tracie will lead a deeply soothing root-to-crown visualisation — a practice of quietly travelling through each chakra, noticing where you feel open, where you feel tight, and where your body or intuition nudges you to pay attention.
Meditation has well-documented effects on our nervous system and emotional health. Even a short practice can reduce cortisol levels, quiet the inner critic, lower anxiety, and bring us into the present moment — which is exactly where creativity lives. Many participants find that this guided journey also surfaces emotions they didn’t realise they were carrying: a grief they hadn’t named, a joy they’d forgotten, a longing that deserves to be heard.
This is the foundation of everything that follows. When we meet ourselves honestly, what we create becomes something real.
Mini Angel card reading
After meditation, each participant will draw a single angel card, guided by the prompt:
“What message does my inner mother need to hear today?”
Angel cards work with the belief that we are always surrounded by loving, supportive energy — guides, ancestors, higher selves — that communicate through symbols, synchronicities, and quiet knowing. Drawing a card is less about prediction and more about permission: permission to receive guidance you may already sense but haven’t yet allowed yourself to trust.
Tracie, a practising psychic medium with years of experience working with the angelic realms, will offer context and insight as each card is drawn. You may share your card with the group or simply sit with its message privately — there is no pressure, only warmth.
These readings often carry surprising resonance. People frequently describe a card feeling like it was “meant for them” — arriving at exactly the right moment with exactly the right words.
Painting session – Blossoms
Guided by Mariya, you’ll paint your chosen chakra flower with acrylics on a canvas panel, using techniques that are accessible to complete beginners yet rich enough to delight those with more experience. Mariya’s teaching style is patient, encouraging, and full of joy — her step-by-step guidance ensures that no one feels lost, and that everyone ends the session with a painting they’re genuinely proud of.
There is something quietly profound about the act of making something with your own hands. It asks you to be present. It silences the part of the mind that endlessly plans and worries. It gives form to feeling, colour to emotion, shape to something that might otherwise remain wordless inside you.
Research into art therapy consistently shows that creative activity reduces stress hormones, activates the brain’s reward pathways, and promotes what psychologists call a state of “flow” — a joyful absorption in the present moment that feels effortless and deeply nourishing. You don’t need to be an artist for this to happen. You simply need to begin.
Your painting will carry the energy of the chakra you’ve been exploring all morning. It becomes a piece of intentional art — made in meditation, in reflection, in love — that you take home as a reminder of what you reconnected with today.

A bar will be open during the event, where guests may purchase drinks and light refreshments. For a wider selection, there is a Tesco supermarket conveniently situated just next to the venue.
