The luxurious flowers of Peony are ruffled and petal packed, unfurling from round buds in early summer, revealing petal after petal until fully open. Large, flamboyant blooms coupled with a sweet, light fragrance captured my attention this year. It was a hard work to create the shading for each of the petals, but the final result is truly magnificent. I hope to work on more peonies in the future.
