Returns and Refunds Policy

This Returns and Refunds Policy applies to purchases made through www.mariyamcallister.com (the Website), including original artworks, prints, greeting cards, other physical products and workshop gift vouchers. Workshop bookings are governed separately by our Workshop Terms and Conditions.

1. Your Legal Rights

If you are a consumer in the UK, you have certain rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.

2. Original Artworks, Prints and Cards

2.1 Change of Mind (Distance Selling)

If you purchase a physical item online, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the item, without giving any reason.

To exercise your right to cancel, you must notify us in writing at artist@mariyamcallister.com within 14 days of delivery.

You then have a further 14 days to return the item to us.

2.2 Return Conditions

Returned items must:

• Be unused and in the same condition in which they were received
• Be returned in their original packaging (or equivalent protective packaging)
• Be securely packaged to prevent damage in transit

You are responsible for the cost of return postage unless the item is faulty or incorrect.

We recommend using a tracked and insured postal service, as we cannot accept responsibility for items lost or damaged during return transit.

2.3 Refunds

Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will notify you by email.

If the return is approved, a refund will be issued to the original payment method within 14 days of receiving the returned item.

Refunds will include the original standard delivery cost (where applicable), but not any upgraded or express delivery charges.

2.4 Limited Edition Prints

Limited edition prints are produced in fixed quantities and are clearly labelled as such on the Website.

Limited edition prints may be returned under the same conditions as other physical items, provided they are returned in their original condition and packaging and remain unsigned, unframed and undamaged.

Once a limited edition print has been signed, framed, personalised, or otherwise altered after purchase, it becomes non‑returnable unless faulty.

3. Workshop Gift Vouchers

Workshop gift vouchers are non-refundable and non-returnable, except where required by law. Gift vouchers have no cash value. Their use is governed by our Workshop Terms and Conditions.

4. Faulty or Damaged Items

If your item arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect, please contact us at artist@mariyamcallister.com within 48 hours of delivery and include clear photographs of the issue.

Where an item is confirmed to be faulty or damaged, you will be entitled to a full refund or replacement (where available), including reasonable return postage costs.

5. Refund Method

All refunds are issued in Pound Sterling (GBP) to the original payment method used at checkout. We do not offer refunds in cash or by bank transfer unless originally paid that way.
