Foundations of Watercolour Painting
From mastering the delicate art of washes to exploring the magic of wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry methods, you'll gain a deep understanding of how to manipulate watercolours to create stunning effects. You will learn about principles of composition and balance, allowing you to create visually harmonious and expressive artworks.
Tools and Materials
Explore the unique transparency of watercolours and learn how to layer colours to achieve vibrant and luminous effects. Develop precision and control over your brushes, from broad strokes to intricate details, as you create captivating textures and patterns.
Subject Exploration
From still life and flowers to landscapes, our course covers a variety of subjects to help you find your unique artistic voice. My lessons are very flexible and I adapt to subject requests from students.
Personalised feedback and support
Receive constructive feedback from experienced artist to enhance your skills. Training aims to help you progress artistically at your own pace and increase your confidence in a supportive environment. Each student is nurtured and encouraged to develop their skills.
Online exhibition
To celebrate the end of term we are going to hold an online art exhibition. Your family and friends would be able to view it too if you share a link with them.
No Experience Required
Whether you're picking up a brush for the first time or you're a seasoned artist looking to expand your repertoire, our course caters to every skill level. The step-by-step approach ensures that beginners feel supported, while advanced techniques provide a challenge for those seeking to elevate their craft. My goal is to create a welcoming and inclusive space where everyone can explore the joy of painting.
Materials Needed
All you need to start is watercolour paper, watercolour paints, brushes, and a desire to create. The full list of required materials will be provided 2 weeks before start of course.
